Update to the character

Did a few changes and such. This is what I have now, he's pretty much finished just need to add a tongue, he is supposed to be very simple.

New personal project started

I've started a new personal project, a rather simple animation short just to dive into and start fiddling around with that. Never really done any huge animations so hoping to learn a lot.
This is one character I've done so far, he's mostly gonna talk, the lower body part (below shirt) won't probably be shown.

Once I've refined it a bit more I'll post more closeup screens for critique. Of course, if anyone sees anything right now then that would be great too!

Added sword texture

So I got a sword to practice my cartoony metal texturing skills. I re-shaped the sword a bit, unwrapped per request and went back to re-shape the texture as well. This is the result.

Texturing practice

I joined a team to do some environment work for a game. But I also need to practice my texturing skills. For this particular project the “cartoon” style is going to be preeminent so this is what I’ve been practicing. Creating cartoony metal is quite hard, it more often than not starts to look more to the realistic side. So that’s what I’m gonna be practicing for a while.
Here’s at least some of the first two pieces I did, a wall and a barrel.

Project Eto.101 update

Just keeping plugging with texturing. This is a early stage, it may or may not change. Right now I am not really super happy with it. Want to make it much better. I just have to keep on plugging.

I did this little piece  for an independent game artist to use for the game they were creating using Unity. Not much else to say, created with Maya, Mudbox, xNormal and Photoshop.

This is a personal project I’m working on. Trying to create a short here. We’ll see how it goes. This is a rather early progress. I’ll be adding things like trees, flowers, more objects and so on. And of course change the lighting and stuff like that. Trying to learn everything pretty much. From the very basic to the advanced stuff like dynamics and special effects. Basically this is my ADP project that I’ve been putting off all the time because of various reasons. I hope I’ll continue with it till it’s done and nothing comes in the way. Cheers!

Cherry animation

I did a cherry animation check it out below. It’s not particularly long or too impressive but it’s something. Don’t mind the crappy materials I didn’t want to spend time on them, I wanted to focus on the animation in particular. Hope you like it!

Female Human progress

So created legs and feet. Took me half a day to do this, well I watched Nostalgia Critic now and then which resulted it taking longer. But I was rusty as well. Was a long time ago I did a human so doing the foot and the toes was a bit of a hurdle. It's not even perfect, doesn't have toenails. But I won't do them, she'll probably wear some kind of footwear in the end.

Woman model update - Arms & hands

Did the arms and hands (which was the homework which is due today). They aren't the best and I will add fingernail and whatnot whenever I have time over for this model. There's actually a lot I want to change on this model, especially the topology, but unfortunately I have many other projects that takes up time. I only have time to work on this and only time to do whatever is necessary for the homework.
